1. Trust God’s Power, Not Our Own
The Israelites were not strong enough to defeat all their enemies on their own. But God promised to drive the nations out. In the same way, we face battles in life. These may be spiritual battles, emotional struggles, or physical challenges.
We must remember that God is our strength. He fights for us. When we rely on Him, He makes a way. Psalm 20:7 says, “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.”
Our victory does not come from our talent or power. It comes from God.
2. Obedience Brings Blessing
This promise in verse 23 is conditional. Earlier verses show that the Israelites had to obey God to receive this blessing. Deuteronomy 11:22 says, “For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments…”

2 Chronicles 20:15 says, “…for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” We are not alone. God goes before us. He prepares the way. He knows what we need.
In prayer, we can surrender our battles to Him. We can trust Him to lead us to victory.
6. Be Strong and Courageous
When facing strong enemies, fear can take over. But God’s promise in Deuteronomy 11:23 gives us courage. He will fight for us. He will give us what He has promised.
We can walk in faith, not fear. Joshua 1:9 says, “Be strong and of a good courage… for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
