It also points to God’s role as a healer. In Exodus 15:26, God says, “I am the Lord that healeth thee.” He is not only able to heal, but He also desires to do so for His faithful people.

This part reminds the Israelites of their past. They had lived in Egypt for over 400 years. Many of them saw how plagues and diseases affected the Egyptians. God is saying that those same troubles would not be put on them.
The word “evil diseases” may refer to the plagues God sent to Egypt as judgment. These included boils, pestilence, and other severe conditions. God had used those plagues to free Israel from slavery, but now He promises to keep His people from experiencing those same afflictions.

We can trust God with our health. He may not always heal us in the way we expect, but we can pray to Him, believe in His power, and rest in His will.
